Now more than ever Māori leaders are playing a significant role in shaping our nation and more will be called upon to support the shaping of the generations yet to come. As our future leaders this is a time for you to further develop and refine your skills, expand and strengthen your knowledge base, build relationships for the future and prepare for a career and life beyond study.
Coming to University can be daunting but we want you to know that t在这里 is a whānau 在这里 committed to supporting your success. Māori students are visible and actively engaged in all aspects of University life, through a dedicated leadership role in the Waikato Students’ Union, Māori student groups across the University and Pūtikitiki, our Māori student space.
Alongside our student rōpū is the Māori ki Waikato whānau. Our collective goal is to assist you as you strive for success for you, 你的whānautica, 社区, 毛利会堂, hapū和艾维.

Choosing your course
We offer a broad range of degrees, diplomas and certificates across more than 100 subjects. Our degree programmes are flexible, meaning you can customise your qualification to suit your strengths, interests and career plans. This ensures you graduate fully prepared for life beyond study.
We appreciate that many students have ongoing work and family commitments, and so we offer full and part-time study options.

At the University of Waikato we have four halls of residence available for our students to choose from. Bryant Hall offers a unique opportunity for 毛利 students w在这里 they can choose to live on the Kaupapa 毛利 floor. Nga-Tokorua-a-Taingahue allow students to live with other like-minded students w在这里 they can embrace their culture while living in a supportive academic environment.
